It’s now been many years since I first read Blowback by Chalmers Johnson, which was among many books which opened my eyes and heart and brought me face to face with my own ignorance, indoctrination, and illusions about our country and government. I post this as we've just experienced yet another Memorial Day, but with the deep awareness of how vital it is that we transform the cultural values and stories we live by. Imperialism, endless war, resource extraction, oppression and violence, interference in the elections of other nations, overthrowing democratically elected leaders, and on and on — this is the madness that must be seen for what it is and stopped. War is not peace. War is terrorism. Another world is possible. — Molly
