Thank you so much for this, Frank Ostaseski. So wise and true! Many years ago Clarissa Pinkola Estés wrote about the most important decision that we will make — whether or not to be bitter. This is the wisdom and the journey of freeing ourselves from that which feeds our suffering rather than our health and wholeness. I’m so incredibly grateful for Frank and for all of us who are blessed with doing the courageous and soulful heartwork of dismantling the obstacles that we’ve built within ourselves against love. Don’t wait until you find yourself on your deathbed to begin the process of forgiving those who have hurt you or those you have wronged. Allow the fragile nature of life to show you what’s most important . . . then take action. It hurts too much to keep others or ourselves out of our hearts.
