My Husband and I Saw Barbie Last Night — WOW!

I am happy! Barbie was amazing!! 

Ron and I both loved seeing Barbie. And it was so wonderful to experience together. I’m so grateful to be married to my tender-strong husband who gets it. Such a gift to have in a soulful loving life partner.

WOW!

My husband and I saw Barbie last night — and we both loved it!! So rich and masterful, brilliant and illuminating, hilarious and sad, many layered and timely, and potentially a deep gift to women and men alike and to all young people.

And the opening scenes had me laughing so hard that my stomach hurt! Weaving humor through painful content and experiences can be incredibly helpful as we open our minds and hearts to the enormity of the great tragedy of something of such prolonged and immense harmful consequence to us all that is at the core of patriarchy.

Recognition of the impacts of thousands of years of patriarchy on women, men, children, communities, nations, and the planet is the first step in becoming empowered to disentangle ourselves and make much healthier choices in our lives — and very much including in our families and friendships and partnerships and politics.

I am convinced that all of us, no exceptions, have suffered under patriarchy. We all need healing and help and support in waking up and shedding that which causes so much harm.
