This is so 100% spot on and breathtakingly well said by my friend Faisal Khan. Deepest gratitude! This is what we need to see and understand and refuse to be complicit with in every way possible. Our strong voices of dissent, integrity, and truth are vital to the well being of us all. May we expose and stand up to the imperialist white-supremacist capitalist patriarchal systems that have wreaked havoc for so very long again and again and again! — Molly
There’s a lot of information out there, but let’s be clear: I don’t want your colonial narrative anymore. I don’t want to hear “both sides of the story.” Stop being Obama, Mr. Uncle Tom. The American and Western propaganda networks have long specialized in dehumanizing Arabs, Palestinians and Muslims for decades upon decades.
You cannot talk about “two sides” when one people has lived under occupation, brutality, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians for 77 years with full U.S. and European military, material, and diplomatic support. What we are seeing now in the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank is the complete annihilation of an indigenous population.
So enough with the propaganda, bias, and moral hypocrisy. If you want dialogue, then come see the truth. Speak the truth. See through the eyes and lens of Palestinians who have suffered and endured for generations. But if you are not able to do that, then there is no basis for dialogue. Truth must be the foundation.
And to those of privilege yes, including Black and Brown people who have internalized these same colonial biases your lack of compassion, kindness, and truthfulness, when your own ancestors may have once endured similar suffering, reveals a deep hypocrisy. Perhaps privilege has shielded you from seeing the truth your own truth.
