International Women’s Day: Be a Part of the Solution

On this International Women's Day I am deeply moved to share the work of Riane Eisler, who is an extraordinary woman, author, visionary, and wisdom keeper. My three sons were all young boys when I first read The Chalice and the Blade many years ago. This book was profound and life changing for me. Since that time, I have read most of Riane Eisler's books and been blessed to see her speak on several occasions. My husband also has his copy of The Chalice and the Blade on our bookshelves and was deeply impacted by this book — which is definitely important and potentially life changing for all of us, women and men alike. May this body of work be embraced with interest and renewed passion by more and more of us. Another world is truly possible - one based on the values of partnership rather than domination. Bless women and girls everywhere. Bless all humans and all beings. May we each awaken from the dominator trance and transform ourselves into a culture and a world which cherishes life rather than destroys it. — Molly

"In our time, when high technology guided by values such as conquest, exploitation, and domination threaten our very survival, we need economics driven by an ethos of caring. We need a caring revolution." Riane Eisler

“The roles and relations between the female and male halves of humanity affects everything: our values, our institutions, families, economics (what kind of work is valued), politics, religion…that’s what my work’s been about.” —Riane Eisler, on SHE Speaks: Riane Eisler on Awakening from the Dominator Trance

“This book changed my life.”

“Some books are like revelations, they open the spirit to unimaginable possibilities. The Chalice and the Blade is one of those magnificent key books that can transform us and… initiate fundamental changes in the world.” — Isabel Allende
