This is spot on! Deepest bow to Faisal Khan for his courage and integrity, fierce voice of truth, relentless exposure of Netanyahu’s genocide of the Palestinian people, and unending demands for justice and the rights and dignity and protection of the most vulnerable. Silence is indeed complicity and moral failure. We all need to be exposing these atrocities and demanding that our government stop its funding of genocide and its ongoing policies and practices rooted in brutality, dehumanization, and countless forms of cruelty and violence. — Molly
STATEMENT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
AND THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
The First Amendment of the United States Constitution enshrines the fundamental freedoms of speech, dissent, and expression — without condition, without discrimination, and without exception. Whether you are an American citizen, a foreign student, or a green card holder, your right to protest and speak truth to power is protected by law. That protection is especially vital on college campuses, which have long been the battleground for the free exchange of ideas and the fight for justice.
Courageous students across the country are exercising their First Amendment rights to protest the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians — atrocities enabled and supported by the United States government, NATO, and Israel. These students are standing on the moral right side of history, yet they are being met not with dialogue or respect, but with state repression. Men and women in masks are abducting foreign students in broad daylight for daring to speak out against injustice. Writers and activists are being targeted for documenting the truth. This is not democracy — this is authoritarianism in its rawest form.
The silence of many Americans — especially those who claim to champion democracy, human rights, and justice — is not only disappointing, it is disgraceful. For 18 months, we have watched the systematic slaughter of Palestinian men, women, and children — funded and armed by the very government that claims to uphold the values of freedom and human dignity. And yet, too many Democrats, liberals, and self-proclaimed feminists remain silent, paralyzed by cowardice and political convenience. Their silence is complicity. Their refusal to act is a moral failure.
America is sinking into moral and political darkness — not only because of the actions of its government but because of the inaction of its people. Silence in the face of genocide is not neutrality — it is endorsement. The American public must awaken from this moral slumber. We must reject cowardice and complacency and demand accountability from those in power. We must reclaim the principles of justice and human dignity — not just for Americans, but for Palestinians and for all oppressed people around the world.
History will remember this moment. The question is: Will Americans be remembered as the people who stood for justice — or the people who stood by and watched while injustice prevailed?
