Sunday, September 14th @ 10am: Ron and I Will Begin To Celebrate Our Wedding Anniversary Where It All Began

On September 14th Ron and I will return to Portland Insight Meditation Community for the Sunday morning gathering and dharma talk. This week Alexa Redner will be the guest teacher. She is also the facilitator of the weekly Tuesday evening women's sangha at PIMC that I cherish being a part of. Alexa is so warm, wise, and wonderful! I adore her.

And this Sunday will also mark the 12th wedding anniversary for Ron and me. It will be lovely for us to return to PIMC on this very special day as we reflect on being married there twelve years earlier. While Ron and I have been going to PIMC for many years, this will be the first time for us to be there on our actual anniversary. I am excited and my heart is smiling Big!

As some of you know, there was also a tragedy one year ago that resulted in the suicide of a sangha member and which brought about the abrupt departure of Robert Beatty. Robert had married us and been a founder, lead teacher, and integral part of Portland Insight Meditation Community for decades. I wrote about the heartbreaking circumstances and trauma that surrounded this enormous disruption, change, and loss here: https://mollystrongheart.blogspot.com/2024/10/personal-reflections-on-tragic-loss.html. This piece has been viewed nearly 1,000 times now and I am so grateful. Hopefully it has been illuminating and healing for many.

Since that time there have also now been many incredibly positive changes in our spiritual community. Out of the ashes, a rebirth has happened for which I am profoundly grateful. If interested, you can read more about what is happening at Portland Insight Meditation Center here: https://www.portlandinsight.org/weeklygroups

This is last minute, but I also invite any of our local friends who would like to join us and the dharma community on Sunday morning to please do so. You do not need to be Buddhist to belong or benefit. All are welcome. We gather just before 10am until noon. And then there is coming together for tea/snacks and visiting afterwards for anyone who wishes to stay. The address for PIMC is 6536 SE Duke Street in Portland.

And what to say about Ron. It is hard to put into words what it has been like to have the true loving partnership and deep and abiding love that I share with my beloved husband. He is a gem. He is a keeper. And I am blessed and grateful beyond my wildest dreams. Blessed be. 🙏

I love you, Ron....

With Metta,
💜
Molly
