Michael Meade: The Wound Is Also a Womb

I am always deeply appreciating Michael Meade, who is among my longtime teachers. There is so much wisdom and truth in this council. Deepest gratitude. — Molly

In the old way of imagining, the wound is also a womb. So the first birth is from the womb of the mother. And the second birth, the rebirth that would happen in us, involves a wound, because the implication is that it's a rebirth from the wound. The awakening comes from being in touch with the wound, and in a sense from going through the wound. And the reminder there is that the wounds and the natural gifts are in the same place. Allowing ourselves to touch the wounds puts us in proximity of being able to handle our natural gifts.
