December 6th: "Art of the Spirit" Community Art Sale

I received the below notices of this wonderful event through my sisters Julie Doll, Wendy Bjornson, Marsha Donner, Olivia Oso and Linda Neale and am most happy to pass this on. For those who are local, I hope you can make it! And for everyone, please also consider spreading the word and/or purchasing something from the below website for Art From Our Hearts. Thank you so much! :-) Peace & blessings ~ Molly

Friends:

Last Dec, my partner, Kat and I, and some spiritual sisters / friends hosted an art sale. We had such a GREAT time with it, that we're doing it again!

Please join us for the 2nd Annual "Art of the Spirit" Community Art Sale:

WHEN: Dec 6th, 9AM - 5PM
WHERE: 15688 NW Melody Lane, Beaverton, OR (Kat and Julie's home)
CONTACT: Call 503-617-1989 or email katcando9@msn.comm

Art being offered for sale will include photography, pine needle basketry, mandala / sacred art, gourd art, sculpture, quilts, fused glass art and jewelry. Much of the art work is based on spiritual and natural themes. All of it is hand-crafted by women of tremendous talent. Artists will be present to talk about their work and to share their love of the creative process.

If you're interested in looking and not shopping, that's fine too -- please stop by to view the amazing talents of some of the women in your community, and to enjoy some light refreshments. We look forward to having you in our home!

Blessings of the season, and great joy to you all,

Julie Doll

Greetings everyone,

Art From Our Hearts has been working in 2008 to raise funds to build a school for girls through the Central Asia Institute - the organization founded by Greg Mortensen. His story and the story of these schools is movingly written in the book "Three Cups of Tea." Throughout out the year, many of you have been reading the book, purchasing our mandala cards and prints, and talking with us about your enthusiasm for the vision Greg has and for helping to build this school.

We would like to invite you to consider our mandala card gift packs and prints for holiday gifts. The four-card gift packs are $14.00 and the prints are $8.00. All the proceeds go to help build the school. To see the selection, visit our website at www.artfromourhearts.org.

Our cards and prints will be among the holiday offerings at this upcoming art sale:

Holiday Spirit Art Sale
Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 - 5:00
Kat Cunningham and Julie Doll
15688 NW Melody Ln. in Beaverton

I hope you can join us there to help our cause, and to have fun shopping with some great local artists.

If you can't come but would like to order cards or prints, you can call me at (503) 245-3485 or email at createhealth@msn.com.

Happy holidays!

Wendy Bjornson
with Olivia Oso and Marsha Donner
