For my local friends — I hope you will join my husband and myself for this event in Portland with Bill McKibben on July 5th. The last time I saw Bill speak was when Bernie was running, a campaign he was a part of. And now I'm very eager to see him again.
For decades I've been familiar with Bill McKibben's work, his books and relentless activism, his numerous courageous acts on behalf of the planet, and on and on. I have all of Bill's books, have seen him speak more times than I can count, and I stay informed through his ongoing numerous and deeply important articles. Bill McKibben is a national and international treasure.
For everyone — whether you are able to make it to this event or not, the work of this amazing human is available to us all. We would not be in the midst of the climate crisis that we are today if the deep research, knowledge, integrity, and wisdom of Bill McKibben and others like him was widely disseminated. Deepest bow of respect, appreciation, and gratitude. 🙏💗 Molly
