We are afraid of losing
this small self we continue to cherish and protect. We are afraid of the
extinction of self. But what do we lose when we become big enough for our world
through the practice of bodhicitta?
What actually becomes extinct?
The only thing that happens is that the walls of our fortress fall away so that
we can expand into the great interdependence of life.
