A Beautiful, Moving Short Film: All Cats are Black

Deep bow of gratitude to my dear friend and circle sister Bess Piñon for sharing with us this deeply moving and courageously raw, heartfelt, truthful, transformative, and tender story. There is much wisdom here. And, ultimately, much beauty and love.

Stories have the power to touch something vital within us, to open our hearts more deeply, and to change us. And this is what moves me to share this woman’s story.
You may watch and think — well I’ve never been through what she has. And yet, the truth is that to be human is to absorb ancestral and/or cultural traumas which act in some way and to some degree to impair our capacity to truly know and love ourselves and others. And knowingly or not, we take wrong turnings. This is an essential truth.
So what do we do with our “wrong turnings”? Hopefully we’ll be resilient, brave, and supported enough to recognize, work with, and heal ourselves. And as we increasingly heal and awaken our hearts, our healing extends way beyond our immediate circles of family and friends. The ripples we create matter.
Hopefully we won’t wait till we’re 65 to look more bravely into our own hearts and the heart of our world. Hopefully we'll come to know deeply our own beauty and that of others. Hopefully. 🙏🏼💜 Molly

“We all make our own lives... When we take a wrong turning, we have to wait till we find the right road and until we’re ready to take that road.”

What is more important a beautiful face or a beautiful heart? While outer beauty may turn heads at first, it is easily forgotten when the true nature is revealed. Inner beauty will be remembered. Our relationships with others will be what is cherished.
