Bernie Sanders Campaign Rally Disrupted by Protester with Nazi Flag

This makes my heart hurt. Such dangerous, scary, sad times. This also illuminates one more time the pervasive dangerousness of a mainstream corporate funded media — including FOX, MSNBC, CNN, PBS/NPR, etc., etc. — that again and again is blatantly or more subtly complicit with promoting the new “Red Scare” embodied in the relentless propaganda demonizing democratic socialism and dehumanizing Bernie Sanders and our enormous grassroots movements struggling for a just, sustainable, caring, and peaceful nation and world. It’s my personal belief that it is deeply important for us all to stand up to injustice and dehumanization and to be strong voices of truth, justice, and love. — Molly

In more campaign news, there are increased concerns over Senator Sanders’s safety, after a man unfurled a Nazi flag Thursday night at a Sanders event in Phoenix, Arizona. Bystanders ripped the swastika from the man before security guards escorted him from the arena. Sanders is vying to become the country’s first Jewish president. Later in the evening, protesters waving flags bearing Trump’s name were also escorted from the Sanders rally after trying to disrupt the event.
