Michael Meade: When Faced With Great Obstacles or a True Dilemma

There is great wisdom in this. It has also certainly been my experience that as we grow older, with each passing year we are either growing more open and expansive, loving and grateful, compassionate and big-hearted, mindful and wise, courageous and kind, connected with and caring for all of life, and honoring of the Sacred... OR we are devolving and becoming more rigid and bitter, more contracted and angry, more fearful and shut down, more disconnected from our own hearts and the hearts of others and the Great Heart woven through all of life. Such a life changing decision we make, consciously or otherwise, of whether or not to be present in our bodies and in this life and offering our gifts to those we love and to this world. Bless us all. The world needs us. We need each other.

At the human level, when faced with great obstacles or a true dilemma, there will be one of two outcomes. Either we will become bigger people who understand ourselves and the world better, or we will become smaller souls more narrow in our thinking and ultimately more rejecting of the mystery and wonder of life.
