My husband responded to the above with this reflection,
which is tragically true:
"I would love to hear an honest discussion on the connection between the U.S. being the largest weapons exporting nation in the world, the destabilization of the Middle East, largely caused by our criminal invasion of Iraq, and the subsequent flood of war refugees, which we totally reject when we have as much, if not more responsibility to aid than any other country. The hypocrisy is truly breathtaking."
